Cristiano Ronaldo issues ominous message ahead of Leicester City vs Manchester United clash

Cristiano Ronaldo warmed up Saturday’s trip to Leicester City by continuing his prolific start to the season for club and country.

The Manchester United icon netted the 10th international hat-trick of his career as Portugal thrashed Luxembourg 5-0 in World Cup qualifying. Old Trafford teammate Bruno Fernandes weighed in with a goal and an assist.

Ronaldo’s treble made it 10 goals in eight games for United and Portugal so far this season. The 36-year-old now has a staggering 115 international goals to his name, having taken the all-time record from Iran’s Ali Daei last month.

The win over Luxembourg left Portugal second in Group A, a point behind Serbia with a game in hand.

After the match, in a post on Instagram, Ronaldo wrote: “Another victory, another step towards our goal, another historic night in defense of our colors!

“Everything becomes easier when we play at home and in front of an audience that cares for us from the first to the last minute…

“I had promised that I would always be looking for more and more and more!

“It’s in my DNA and in our DNA, we’re never content, we never lower our arms and we always go.”
