Premier League outfit Manchester United have sent scouts to Greece to watch two Olympiacos players, according to reports in Spain.
As reported by Spanish outlet Fichajes: The ‘Red Devils’ have sent scouts to Greece to evaluate two players who are dazzling the fans of the first division.
This duo are named as Mady Camara and Aguibou Camara. Mady is a 24-year-old central midfielder who would join Olympiacos in July of 2018 from French outfit AC Ajaccio. Mady had gone on to feature on 143 occasions for the Greek side, scoring 19 goals and assisting 12 in the process.
However, with Mady a natural central midfielder, United fans are likely to question if he is a player they would actually want. Man United already have a number of central midfield options, but does lack a proper defensive midfielder.
And with Mady already 24, you would assume he would be brought in to be a regular feature. But as the Red Devils are in such desperate need of a top-quality no.6, perhaps they would be better severed looking at someone with more experience in Europe’s top leagues.
As for Aguibou, he is only 20 so has more time to develop into a quality player. Aguibou would join Olympiacos from Lille in July of 2021 and has since scored two and assisted one in 10 outings for them.
Aguibou, unlike Mady, is a central attacking midfielder by trade but can also be used on the right-wing. So, perhaps Man United could bring the 20-year-old in as a potential backup option to Bruno Fernandes?
The Portuguese plays the majority of games for Man United but, outside of Fernandes, United have little quality in the no.10 spot, especially if Jesse Lingard leaves at the end of this season.
